Tiger's Eye Press has been publishing Tiger's Eye: A Journal of Poetry since 2001. When we started, we considered naming the press, Kitchen Table Press, because that was an accurate description of our work atmosphere. And after thirteen years, it still is. Although we've added chapbooks and an editing service, we continue to edit from our kitchen tables and office desks, and sometimes surrounded by stacks of submissions, from the floor. We pride ourselves in reading through the submissions two and three times, in discussing the work seriously no matter the poet's experience or past publications. Our choices are eclectic, we don't have themes, and our favorite moment is when we discover a poet who is just emerging. We want to be the bridge between silence and voice, between obscurity and publication. No matter who you are or what you've written, your poems matter to us, and we take the fledgling poet as seriously as the seasoned veteran.
